The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has constituted a committee charged with redrawing electoral constituencies in Karachi and Nosheroferoz district of Sindh. The ECP revealed this in its written reply submitted to the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday.
It stated that Justice (r) Roshan Esani, a member of the ECP, was heading the committee, while adding that the body would submit its report within seven days after which a notification of new electoral constituencies would be issued.
The provincial election commission submitted its reply in response to a constitutional petition pertaining to delimitation of constituencies for provincial and National Assembly seats in Nosheroferoz.
