As many as two suspect militants were killed after a US unmanned drone fired two missiles in village Deegaan in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) on Sunday.
The tribal sources in Miranshah, headquarters of North Waziristan, said that the two suspect militants were on horseback near Pak-Afghan border IN Data Khel Tehsil when the drone targeted them. Both the men died on the spot.
The bodies were beyond recognition. However, tribal sources believed that they were foreigners, who had taken shelter in the area. Soon after the missile attacks, unrest erupted among local and foreign militants, scattered in the area.
Sunday’s drone attack occurred after a lapse of one month in North Waziristan. The US authorities consider drone missiles strikes more effective in ongoing war on terror. On the other hand, Pakistani leadership considered it harmful to the country’s sovereignty and solidarity.
