Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday said that the common man has to struggle as a dictatorship of puppets is ruling in the name of ‘naya Pakistan’ and that attacks were being made on democratic, economic and human rights of the public.

While speaking at a press conference here, the PPP leader said the government is shying away from elections in order to conspire against rival candidates.

He said it is a reality that candidates are being pressurized in Ghotki by-elections but the PPP would defeat these conspiracies.

“We know our competitors like selection instead of elections, adding that verdict on the case of a candidate would be announced on July 16 while the election is on July 18,” he further said.

Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wrote reservations to Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa over by-election in National Assembly constituency NA-205 Ghotki in a letter saying that nomination papers of PP candidates were harshly scrutinised before getting approved.
