On the directions of CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz, CDA on Tuesday sealed four houses for non-conforming use and violations of building by-laws in different residential sectors of Islamabad.
CDA Building Control Enforcement Magistrate took part in the operation which was supervised by CDA Planning and Design Member Syed Mustafain Kazmi.
During the operation, house No 9 situated in Street 29 of Sector F-10/1 used for (QUIK Communications) office purposes, house No 81 situated in Street 45 in Sector F-10/4 being used as an office (Streaming Networks), house 233-B situated in Street 51 of sector F-10/4 (JAN Enterprises) & house No 289-A at Sumbal Road sector F-10/4 (BJP) being used as offices were sealed for non-conforming use and for violating CDA by-laws.
CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz said that CDA was taking concrete step in a planned manner to discourage non-conforming use and violations of CDA by-laws.
He added that the offices in the residential sectors would not be allowed as there was enough space in commercial sectors of Islamabad. Owners of these offices, in their own interest, may shift their offices to these commercial areas so that the problems of the residents could be solved.
He further said that in the first phase, offices situated in the residential sectors would be removed and in the second phase, CDA would take step against other such activities in the residential areas.
