Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) MPA Jam Madad Ali on Tuesday filed a writ petition in Sindh High Court (SHC), seeking contempt proceeding against the Sindh Assembly speaker and the deputy speaker.
Ali, the petitioner, had pleaded before the court to initiate contempt proceeding against the speaker and the deputy speaker for not notifying the opposition leader in the provincial assembly.
On 8th February, the SHC on a petition filed by 10 MPAs of the PML-F had directed the speaker to notify the opposition leader within 10 days.
The PML-F and other opposition members in the Sindh Assembly had nominated Nusrat Seher Abbasi for the slot.
