President Asif Ali Zardari has said that development of Balochistan was the foremost priority of the democratic government.
Talking to members of Balochistan Assembly‚ the president said peace must be restored in the province at all costs.
The overall situation in the province came under discussion during the meeting and the leaders also exchanged views on development work in Balochistan.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari laid the foundation stone of Nolang Dam to be constructed at a cost of Rs 18 billion.
It is being constructed along River Mola in district Jhal Magsi.
On completion‚ it will help irrigate hundreds of thousands of acres of land.
President Zardari arrived in the provincial capital after concluding his two day visit to Iran.
He was received by Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, PPP Balochistan President Mir Sadiq Imrani, members of the provincial assembly, Balochistan IGP and other senior civil officers.
"…that is why we have left it to the last…(when we can't do anything about it)."
