ISLAMABAD-

A National Assembly session has been summoned by President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday (January 1st) to discuss  the establishment of trial courts manned by military officers, private media reported.

The president summoned the session on advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It should be mentioned here that the session was earlier slated for January 5, however, it has been called four days earlier owing to unusual compelling circumstances.

A draft of proposed constitutional amendments will also be tabled in the session for implementation of counter-terrorism  National Action Plan.

The PM will take the lawmakers into confidence over the prevailing situation in the country, it was added.
