Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that the split of MQM and PPP might be another drama ahead of polls, adding that he was not sure if the separation is real or fake.
Talking to media at the residence of an office-bearer of PML-N, Nawaz said that he couldn’t tolerate hypocrisy and urged Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to stop the politics of hypocrisy in Sindh. He said that PPP distributed sweets on Local Bodies Bill—then annulled it and again distributed sweets.
Commenting on MQM, he said that after being in alliance for four years and eleven months in government their separation was not understandable. MQM has quitted the government only 15 days before the end of its tenure and its sitting in the opposition like a riddle. “All will be clear after the installation of a caretaker set-up,” he opined.
Responding to a question, Nawaz Sharif said that all those desirous of party tickets were being scrutinized under Articles 62, 63 of the constitution. To a question relating to change of political loyalties, he said that PML-N not luring inany one instead the people fed up with PPP were joining his party.
To a question, he said: “We are not inviting the members of other parties. They themselves are joining the PML-N.” “We are also scrutinizing our election candidates.”
He said more than half of the scrutiny will be done through forms while the rest will be carried by the ECP. “We expelled a member of the Parliament after he was caught cheating in exams” he said.
Nawaz said that his party has complete confidence in the Election Commission for holding free and fair elections.
Talking to newsmen Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief said that Articles 62 and 63 of Constitution should be implemented in true spirit‚ so that people of good moral character may enter the assemblies. He said that PML(N) while keeping a high moral ground‚ itself scrutinizes the applications for the party tickets for elections‚ in the light of Article 62 and 63 of constitution.
He said that PML(N) is the only party which‚ in recent years‚ has made its parliamentarians and MPAs to resign from their seats for their alleged acts of cheating.
It's time for NS to quit politics if he does not understand this 'riddle' .
