Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) recalled a Jeddah-bound plane after reports of a fire in one of its engines.
According to media reports, minutes after PIA’s flight PK-735 took off on a Boeing 747 jumbo, alerts of a fire in engine number two were reported, following which the pilot switched off the affected engine and brought the flight back to Karachi airport in a safe landing.
The aircraft was carrying 465 passengers. According to PIA sources, the flight will depart after a mandatory check-up.
