Death toll in attack on office of the political agent of Khyber Agency mounted to seven as another Levies official succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Tuesday.
Five people, including four Levies officials and two suicide bombers were killed and 14 others were injured when terrorists attacked the political agent’s office on Bara Road at the time when a jirga of political parties was being held.
The injured were rushed to Lady Ready Hospital where another official died on Tuesday.
An investigation team, comprising three police officials and headed by Peshawar Senior Superintendent of Police (Investigation Wing) Sajid Mohmand, has been formed while samples of remains of the suicide bombers have also been sent for a DNA test.
