David Gallant aspires to be a game developer, but by day he is a customer service rep for Canada’s tax agency. Make that “was” a customer service rep. Gallant got fired after creating an online game about, yes, annoying customers, reports the Toronto Star (and spotted by BoingBoing). The upside: He’s getting lots of love on Twitter, and people are going to his site to buy the game, “I Get This Call Every Day.” It costs $2, but one person paid $50, just because. Final irony: In the game, the call-center worker usually ends up getting fired. “Blessing in disguise,” tweeted Gallant.
