Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Monday announced to lead mass rallies from February 15 to secure electoral reforms in Pakistan.

The moderate religious scholar, who gathered hundreds of thousands of his supporter last month in Islamabad, said that the “Inqalab Marches” would be organized in Rawalpinid, Faisalabad, Multan, Sukkur, Peshawar and Gujranwala. He said that “this would be the second phase of our revolution. Our movement is meant for the rights of 18 million oppressed people. Our struggle created awareness among masses and this is why the government assured implementation of Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution in general elections.”

  1. Where was Mr Qadri when Pakistani people needed him. In 2005 at earthquake. In horrible floods. Drone attacks. Why he supported Musharraf during referrendum and elections. Why he did not say sorry to this nation for his earlier actions of supporting anti democracy set-up.

    • I do not follow Qadri but his organization was at fore front in hearquack and floods. His organization did lot of efforts.

  2. Do not make an opinion on the basis of who is saying but make an opinion on the basis of what is he saying?

Please don't underrate him by calling names like 'Bulletproof Mullah’; it is highly unbecoming of a person like the Editor PT to use these words. I have registered my objections previously.

It is right to have the reforms and bring people with some credibility forward. In England before one goes for a job interview one needs to have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.

We are talking of the people who will lead the Pakistani nation in the next 5 years.

  4. People stop mocking Mr Dr Qadri.

What you have is absolute trash; two most corrupt leaders and their cronies with an international playboy turned politician with one of his leaders who has a brain infarct and was admitted to LGH under a neurosurgeon; what hope do you have?

    • So you are saying that you want to vote for this BAKRA to be the next president ??? LOL.Where has he been??? 5. There has to be more retired public servants; ex civil and military officers, doctors and judges coming forward in politics

  6. Qadri is not the solution; he never was and never will be. Pakistan’s problem are too many and definitely beyond the reach of one man but we can all rally around and keep endevouring for better persons to be in politics.
