Incidents of drive-by shootings and dumping of dead bodies continued in Karachi as violence claimed 14 more lives over the past 24 hours.
Firing incidents were reported in Hussain Abad, Azizabad, Sohrab Goth, Manghopir, SITE area, North Nazimabad and New Karachi areas.
Some 13 people, including a doctor, were targeted by the miscreants in the “target-killing”. A dead body was recovered in Baldia Town suburb late on Saturday.
Meanwhile, police and paramilitary Rangers rounded up more than 20 suspected criminals in an overnight search operation in Baldia and SITE area, recovering illegal arms from their possession.
Pakistan government and the armed forces have completely failed to protect lives, honor and property of residents of Karachi. The killers have been on the loose and carrying on targeted and indiscriminate killings with ease and at will. Need not be emphasized that the very first duty of a civilized govt in any country is to guarantee the security of life of all citizens.
Anyone could tell me the name of the victimes… I have a friend lives near North Nazimabad, We use to talk everyday online. But since Sunday morning, no news from him. I am worry about him.
