The Punjab government on Friday approved seven development schemes.
The schemes included Proposed Islamic Development Bank’s (IDB) Assistance for Government of Punjab’s Interest Free Self-Employee Scheme (Concept Clearance Proposal) at an estimated cost of Rs 19636.125 million.
Six other development schemes of various sectors of the economy were also approved worth Rs 7425.391 million in the 28th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of the current financial year 2012-13 presided over by Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Javaid Aslam.
Furthermore, the approved development schemes included Upgradation (Reconstruction) of District Headquarters Hospital Sargodha at a cost of Rs 894.404 million, Construction of Flyover on GT Road in Gujranwala (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 4117.376 million, Construction of Road and High-Level Bridge between District Mianwali and Jand, District Attock and Mianwali (Revised) at a cost of Rs 1305.811 million.
More approved projects included Widening, Improvement and Raising of Gojra to Mureed Wala Road Length 27.65 kilometers, District Toba Tek Singh at a cost of Rs 274.154 million.
Hiring of Consultancy Services for Feasibility Studies, Tender Design, Procurement Documents and Supervision of 50 megawatt Coal Thermal Power Project on EPC at Industrial Estates (i) Sundar Lahore (ii) M-3 Industrial City Faisalabad at a cost of Rs 185.000 million were also approved.
