At least two people died in the city on Thursday in separate incidents.
According to details, a beggar named Sadiq was sitting in Royal Park when two drug addicts tried to snatch money from him. Upon offering resistance, the addicts got violent and beat Sadiq to death.
After the incident, the police reached the scene and recovered evidence. They shifted the body to the morgue. In another incident, a 20-year-old man committed suicide in front of Services Hospital.
According to Shadman SHO, the man was talking on the phone outside the hospital when suddenly he got very angry. He took out a gun and shot himself.
Witnesses rushed him to the emergency room where he expired.
The SHO said that the cause of the suicide may have been a personal dispute. He said that other possibilities could not be overruled.
