Keeping in view the country’s political situation, senior PPP and PML-N leaders are making an effort to materialise a meeting between President Asif Zardari and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
Sources said that in view of the recent political turmoil that emerged out of Tahirul Qadri’s march and the Supreme Court’s decision to arrest Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the rental power case, senior PPP leaders Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar and Farooq Naek and PML-N leaders Ishaq Dar and Sardar Mehtab Abbasi are ironing out a way for their leaders to meet.
Sources said President Zardari is likely to visit Raiwind to condole with Nawaz over the death of his younger brother Abbas Sharif, who died last week due to cardiac arrest.
During the meeting, the president would take into confidence the PML-N chief on caretaker government set up and general elections.
Sources said further the president and Nawaz would also discuss future course of action to continue the political process and how to provide a safe passage to Dr Qadri for ending his long march.
Both are two sides of the same coin.
Pakistanis lose no matter head or tail.
