‘Psychiatric Disorder Clinic’ inaugurated at IIUI

A “Psychiatric Disorder Clinic” established by the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Department of Psychology, inaugurated here on Sunday for the purpose of resolving psychiatric problems of the faculty members and students. Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, IIUI President Prof Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh said it was the first varsity of the country to have established this clinic for psychiatric patients. He said it would play a vital role to help the students of psychology in their study and research work. Dr Al-Draiweesh said the clinic should be upgraded and equipped with the latest equipments and every possible facility. He also lauded the efforts of Dr Tahir Khalili for establishing the clinic. Later, Dr Al-Draiweesh visited the examination centres and inquired about the problems being faced b the faculty members and students. IIUI Faculty of Social Sciences Dean Dr Nabi Bux Jumani, Dr Shabbir Ahmed, IIUI Chief Medical Officer Dr Tahir Khalili, Deptartment of Psychology Head Dr Muhammad Sher, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences Dean Shagufta Haroon, IIUI Director Academics Raja Khalid Mehmood, IIUI Director Administration, Additional Director (P&PR) Hairan Khattak and Deptartment of Psychology Incharge Dr Seema Gul.
