Fog blankets to prevail till Monday: Met office

Fog blankets would continue to prevail until Monday over plain areas of Punjab while cold and dry weather is forecasted for most parts of the country for one week, metrological office said on Saturday. Met office stated fog would engulf these regions, particularly at night and early morning. Continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country while a shallow western disturbance was also persistent in northern areas, according to the met office. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chilly and dry weather is expected in most parts, however partly cloudy conditions with isolated light rain and snow may be seen in Malakand division during the next week. Fog is likely to continue in Peshawar and DI Khan divisions till morning hours on Sunday. In Sindh too, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts while light fog is likely to continue over Sukkur and Larkana divisions for two more days. Balochistan and Kashmir would also be facing the same cold and dry weather during the course of the next one week.
