Ex-PAF chief Anwar Shamim laid to rest with military honours

Air Chief Marshal (r) Muhammad Anwar Shamim, former Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force, who expired due to prolonged illness on Friday was laid to rest at H-11 graveyard Islamabad with profound military honours.
After the burial, wreaths were laid at the grave of the deceased on behalf of president of Pakistan, prime minister, chief of the air staff, punjab governor, retired air chiefs and other dignitaries.
Earlier, his funeral prayers were held at PAF Complex, Air Headquarters Islamabad.
The funeral parade was attended by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Admiral Asif Sindhela, chief of naval staff, ex PAF air chiefs, ambassadors, war veterans, senior civil and military officials of tri services, senior journalists and people from all walks of life.
