How many times will the innocent and unfortunate people of Pakistan allow themselves to be duped by briefcase politicians, ambassadors, economists, bureaucrats and now a briefcase reformer to deliver them from excesses committed by them? It was a briefcase fake degree holder, closely related to a prominent politician of the ruling party, who gobbled Rs 82 billion of OGRA and yet even the forthcoming elections could not deter his patrons from defiantly helping him flee from any accountability. The former MD of PIA, responsible for colossal losses to the tune of over Rs 100 billion, lives comfortably in a palatial villa in Manchester, even getting his retirement benefits in full. The CAA, the sole profitable state corporation, faces a deficit courtesy its CFO who happened to be brother-in-law of perhaps one of most powerful man of this country.
When will we realise that those, who have no stakes in this country and proclaim to be men who will save us, have only done harm to this country? Are there no qualified men or women who hold sole Pakistani nationality and capable of holding important public offices? Why does our every government desist from providing employment to Pakistani nationals who have not sworn an oath of loyalty to other nations?
