At least six people, including a woman, were killed when unidentified armed men attacked a house in Kohistan’s Palas Valley late on Thursday night.
Reports from the far-flung valley revealed that rivals from another village attacked the house of Mohammad Afzal and his relatives. The intruders, equipped
with automatic weapons, killed
six people, including the brother and two cousins of Afzal.
Locals confirmed the number of deaths in the attack. However, the Hazara commissioner said in his estimation three to four people had died in the attack. He said teams of police officials had been dispatched to the area for the confirmation of the attack.
Afzal had allegedly made movies of women during a wedding ceremony and later released them to the general public. He also claimed that two of the women had been killed by their relatives. However, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain contradicted such reports.
