Tenders for development work worth Rs 900 million in Rawalpindi’s NA-48 was cancelled on Thursday once again.
According to sources in the district administration, the tenders were cancelled due to the scarcity of development funds.
Sources said Raja Imran Ashraf, the expected candidate for the National Assembly constituency (NA-48), announced that he would get development funds worth Rs1 billion approved from the prime minister’s special funds.
“The district government, therefore, demanded the tenders for nearly two dozen projects but due to some problems, allocation of the funds was cancelled.
Thus, the tenders had to be cancelled once again,” the source said.
