Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Taliban’s offer of conditional truce unacceptable adding that Taliban groups can not dictate the state.
“Taliban leader Ismatullah Muavia through his offer of conditional truce‚ has tried to dictate the government which is totally unacceptable”, he said this while talking to media men at Sukkar Air port Thursday.
“Muavia is by product of Lashkar-e- Jhangvi and Lal Masjid. I had challenged in categorical terms to Hakim Ullah Mehsud that if he acknowledges Ehsan Ullah Ehsan as his spokesman then as to why he himself does not come to open”, he held.
“ I dismiss every claim of Ehsan Ullah Ehsan unless Hakim Ullah Mehsud authenticates his claim of being his representative ”, he declared.
He said enemies want to derail democratic system in the country but their nefarious designs will be foiled with unity.
“The enemies want to derail Pakistan from democratic order. The terrorists who have tried to destabilize Pakistan are working on the bidding of some one else and they will soon come to open. In this context we have asked President Hamid Karzai to hand over Moulvi Fazlullah and Pirul Haq to us”, the minister said.
No foreign hand is behind all the terrorist activities taking place within the country but our Pakistani brothers are involved therein”, he remarked.
Terrorism reigned over the country when we came to power but it has scaled down remarkably, he held.
President Asif Ali Zardari has held out assurance to provide additional funds for eradication of terrorism and this way more normalization would come in the prevailing situation.
He went on to say it was written in Muavia’s statement that he had no enmity with PML-N and PTI. “We will have to think if our political parties are not backing extremists. We are forging alliance with political parties and people are forging alliance with terrorists”, he added.
Terrorists working for the sake of others interests would be apprehended soon, interior minister announced.
He stated party leadership knows it better who is fit for which office .
