Citizens deprived of valuables, labourer’s house torched by drug peddlers

Robbers deprived citizens of valuables worth millions of rupees in various hits in the city on Thursday.
Per details, two robbers forcibly entered Shiekh Muhammad Saeed’s house in Tariq Block, Garden Town and looted 35 tolas of gold and other valuables after taking the family hostage at gunpoint. In another incident, a woman was deprived of her mobile phone and money by two motorcyclists in Sattukatla.
Separately, drug dealers Amir, Naveed and Waqas torched the house of Fiaz, a daily wager, in Nishtar area for stopping them from peddling narcotics. The Nishtar police is avoiding registration of a case against the drug peddlers.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old girl named Marrium was run over by a speeding truck at Abdullah Gul Interchange. The police arrested the driver and have filed a case against him.
