The Islamic republic of Pakistan got sovereignty and started working as an independent muslim homeland in 1947 but,this remarkable abode of love and peace was shamefully crushed and unfortunately got divided into two independent states on 16 Dec.1971.Finding no bridge further, despite religious identification, In broad day light a new state made its existence on the map of the world, thanks go to world superpowers..what could have been the opinion of old guards that time and what is the opinion of modern generation,is no more a secret,thousand of stories are there verifying the heinous role real culprit behind this gory drama and bloody partition.However, instead of evaluating shortcoming of politicians and masses now , my real concern is about those civil,urban and rural citizens who became a fodder of war and became victim of government troops as well as that of mukhti bahini(freedom fighters)paramilitary troopers. .Shaikh mujeeb ur rahman was sure and he left no stone unturned to assure the then East pakistan peolpe that west pakistan government,military and civil beaurocrarcy ,political parties and masses (shala punjabi)are responsible for their perpetual and consecutive exploitation and destruction and there is no possibility of peace until and unless a new state emerges.He was successful in communicating his message but ,who can forget the division of the largest muslim state in the 20th century through its own darling sons.
In 1972,Founder of Bangladesh,banglabundhu Shaikh mujeeb ur rahman, while boasting his unprecedented and unexpected victory andas usual leveling allegations against pak military , in an interview a with foreign correspondent informed about” three million non combatants got killed during independence war”.,I have a firm belief of its being the tallest lie in the history of humankind presumably this statement was either misreproted or it was a slip of his tongue.There are historical proofs that number of people who got killed from both sides is between three to five thousand.Had General Yahya Khan and zulfiqar ali bhutto handed over right to rule to majority group,situation would have certainly been different.
Whether it be west or east it is a known reality that you can not keep persons, people and even nations united only through speeches,force and vandalism.since Paikstan had come into being in the name of Islamic system of government bu democratic islamic system remained a neglected topic,i am sorry to say but we deceived our Lord: there was neither Islam,nor democracy and no respect of individual human rights.The prevalent situation is not different from past.From Dec 1971 up to this day we are standing on the same puzzling cross failing to understand should we move to America Or to Western Block or tostatus quo. What in reality is our direction,where would be pakistan after ten years or fifty years,this is a billion dollar question for President Asif ali zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and their trouble shooters.
Certain steps by Present bangladeshi government lack sensibility.She has been proud of it is time tested ,precious and honoured relationship with Indian government on providing every sort of help to bangla separatist Guerillas who created whom created storms of trouble,paralysed working for pakistan’s civil and military administration,resulting in defeat for Pak troops.The then freedom lovers of sonar bangla killed thousands and thousands of bengalis and non bengalis who staunhcly believed in the integrity of both units of pakistan. There is no record of that” priceless blood”‘ in pakistan or even in bangladesh,However thousands of stranded pakistanis who are present in Dhaka can reveal umpteen horrifying stories of loot,plunder and honor killing of non bengalis at the hands of lawless hindu and muslim bengalis and top of them is mukhti bahini. Let s admit that west pakistan had made innumerable non senses against East Pakistan but there was no justification for targetting and killing innocent men, women and children as revenge..
After 41 years of independence Hasina government has initiated a new foolish and undefined war against its own citizens.By the order of government an”Inteernational Crimes Tribunal”has been constituted in 2010 to bring to book all those plolitical workers who opposed independence of East Pakistan from west Pakistan.It is also alleged that these people helped pak army in search operations and military crackdowns against separatist youth and organised troops.As a result of this campaign government of Bangladesh has nabbed thousands of its own citizens,though many of these got released because of lack of evidence in collaborating with Pak millitary and paramilitary troops.Seven topmost leaders of jamaat e islami bangladesh including its former and present chief and two prominent leaders of BNP are in Dhaka jail. Prof ghulam Azam And mawlana Motee ur rahman nizami are BD leaders of International fame.This farce international court has nohonourable justice from abroadat its panel,so how it could be called an International tribunal,even no foreign pleader is allowed to argue in court on behalf of accused or at least witness court proceedings.in this situation it is becomig very much evident that AL led government is decidedly bent upon wiping out the islamic minded political opponents and grasp power for centuries, for her coming generationsPakistanis s know it very well that shaikh mujeeb had same sweat dreams of thousand year rule..India is suggesting bangladesh ,as is evident from newspaper reports to crush its islamic forces at any cost so that indian fast developing industry could be be able to make maximum inroads and search markets there and utilize industrial,financial,political and military productions gains without
paying a share to bangladesh
.A week bangladesh government who could unknowingly play a stooge at the hands of New Delhi suits Indian strategic d diplomacy India is also trying its level best to alienate pakistan from its far and near neighbours so that a politically,militarily and diplomatically weaker pakistan should unilaterally withraw itspersistant claim over the territory and demand of Un plebescite under Un administrator in Jammu and kashmir and pakistan could be weakened so much so as to willingly opt for living like obedient, dependent but weightless neighbours. It is with a sense of deep grief and sorrow to say that Pakistani government and pak army is so much engaged and involved in war against terrorism that it has slight planning to defend allegations of mass killing in bangladesh during 1970&1971.
Many international human rights organiations,groups and institutions have urged upon bangladesh authorities, not to hang political opponents(many of these have served as member of parliament and federal minister).If situation remains unchanged it could lead to regional disstabilty and in house fireand fighting in Bangladesh. this is the message of 16 dec 1971.
It is an eye opener analysis the writer has focused main reasons of disintegration. Let's join hands to keep united remaining …….Pakistan.
