Restaurant catches fire on MM Alam Road

A worker was injured while valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a kitchen of a local restaurant on MM Alam Road on Thursday. Rescue 1122 fire service reached the spot and controlled the fire. A worker, Waris Ali (25), received serious burns and was shifted to the Mayo Hospital. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained, Rescue 1122 spokesman said.

  1. hotels make most of their money from room rates. The profit margin is higher. On banquet food there is a smaller profit margin, so there is less to work with and hotels normally will not offer discounts unless there are specific requests and they really have a reason to negotiate.
