Muslim traditions

Lately, there has been a controversy regarding wearing dupatta by the female news anchors appearing on TV. The dress for a Muslim woman is clearly laid down in Quran in Sura Ehzab and Sura Noor.
In Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the culture of the country should depict nothing else but the Islamic values. The Two Nation Theory was advocated to British Raj by our Quaid on the premise that Muslims have their own culture, history and traditions. He convinced the British that the Muslims were a different nation. Hence, the country was created in the name of Islam. Unfortunately, we have gradually drifted from this premise and radically after former President General Pervez Musharraf propagated his theory of Enlightened Moderation.
The Muslims of Pakistan strongly condemn the westernisation of the society where our women freely mix with the menfolk and wear no hijab. Our lady parliamentarians and ministers do not hesitate to shake hands with men in full view of TV cameras, thus hurting the feelings of the Pakistani nation.
It is, therefore, strongly recommended that our women should follow the Islamic values and traditions. The government should order wearing of hijab as mandatory for the women, especially those appearing on TV. Furthermore, our lady ministers and representatives should abstain from shaking hands with men, especially with foreign dignitaries so that the foreigners can realise the Muslim culture and traditions.
