Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister, Sharmila Faruqui said that Sindh is a land of Sufis and sages who fostered the message of love, amity and friendship in Asia and beyond.
She was speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony held at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University to mark the occasion of Sindhi Cap and Ajrak Cultural Day. Sharmila said that Sindhi culture has roots in the ancient civilization of the region and added that introducing the ethical and moral levers of Sindhi culture internationally would help weaving a peaceful culture globally. She said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in democracy and is a staunch advocate of global cultural assimilations.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah University Vice-Chancellor of, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab said there was a need to foster the spirit of love, amity and brotherhood amongst citizens of the world.
