Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday forecast light rain for the North western parts and upper parts of the country and snowfall over the hills between Thursday and Friday. An official of Met office told APP that the western disturbance would start from Thursday evening and cause light rain in the north-western and upper parts of the country on Thursday and Friday. The twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad were also likely to receive light rain during the two days.
Mainly cold and dry weather would prevail in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Skardu -10 C, Astore -07 C, Hunza -06 C, Gupis -05 C, Gilgit -04 C and Quetta -3 C.
