Spurious syrup is being sold at medical stores in Lahore as cough remedy. People are dying by taking the poisonous cough syrup. There is no check on the sale of spurious drugs in the country. This is the level of governance.
Apparently, the health department and drug inspectors are in cahoots with merchants of death. Where is accountability? Politicians are busy in plundering the national resources for the future of their posterity. Welfare of the people is not included in the government agenda.
The media, religious leaders and social workers can play crucial role against the menace of trade of poison. Intelligence agencies can also play important role in this jihad.
