Rear Admiral Tahseen Ullah Khan has been promoted to the rank of vice admiral with immediate effect, says a press release.
Vice Admiral Tahseen Ullah Khan got commission in the Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy on December 1, 1977. Upon acquiring further training at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, United Kingdom, he joined Pakistan Navy Submarine service and served onboard a variety of submarines.
During his career, Vice Admiral Tahseen held various command and staff appointments. He served as the Commanding Officer of PN Submarines Ghazi & Mangro. His eminent Staff duties include ADC to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Naval & Air Advisor in Pakistan High Commission Malaysia.
In addition, he held the appointments of Director Maritime Affairs, Director Submarine Operations, Deputy Director Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Commandant PN War College, and Chief Staff Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, Director General Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and Flag Officer Sea Training. At present, the Admiral is holding the officer of Commander Logistics of Pakistan Navy.
In recognition of his valuable services, he has also been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) by the government of Pakistan.
