Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) kidney transplant centre, after closure for many years, will become functional from next week.
The kidney transplant center, after being shut down due to lack of funds, will now start free of cost surgery of transplantation of kidneys for poor patients
PIMS Executive Director Dr Prof Riaz said that one patient would be provided the facility of kidney transplantation every week.
He said that the surgery would be provided free of cost but patients would have to meet the rules and regulations of Human Organ Transplantation Authority.
