On the occasion of Diwali (Holi) – the religious event of a minority community (Nov 13), one of Urdu private TV channels while referring to the recent spate of killings in Karachi repeatedly used the words of “khoon ki holi kheli gayi”.
This was highly objectionable and against the tenants of Islam as our religion prohibits to malign other religions because they in return might do the same practice. Unfortunately, as a matter of fact, Urdu media is using such controversial terms since long.
I hereby appeal to the Urdu media to discontinue immediately the use of such objectionable terms which are bound to widen hatred among different religions.
