MQM’s referendum

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to conduct countrywide referendum on 14 November, 2012, in which the people of Pakistan will be asked to vote for the kind of Pakistan they want. And the choices are:
1) Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah
2) Pakistan of Taliban
This announcement of MQM has not gone down well with the Taliban and they have now started to threaten MQM of dire consequences.
The Taliban do not hesitate in killing innocent people. I think the MQM should reconsider its decision of conducting referendum. Who will be responsible if 5 or even 10 Taliban suicide bombers strike at any referendum camps resulting in loss of many innocent lives. As we all know and have witnessed, our law enforcement agencies, including Rangers, have completely failed to provide security of life and property to the people.
The MQM has already expressed its fears of the presence of Taliban in Karachi. Taking the threat of Taliban in to consideration, I think the MQM should do away with the idea of conducting referendum in the best interest of people of Pakistan.
