Sindh Transport Department has directed the DIG Traffic and Karachi commissioner to take stern action against public transporters for overcharging fares. Deputy Commissioner Transport Department Ali Nawaz Panhwar said the government had issued fare lists along with notification to Karachi Transport Ittehad the next day. He added that DIG traffic and Commissioner Karachi had been directed to take action against those transporters fleecing the commuters. Meanwhile, President Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) Irshad Bukhari said they had not yet received fare lists from Sindh Transport Department.
