SSP takes bribe to release terrorist in Karachi

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) SSP Fayyaz Khan, who was proven to have taken a bribe worth Rs20 million for releasing a terrorist, was transferred to Hyderabad.
Khan was accused of taking a bribe and the CID had ordered an inquiry into the matter. The inquiry report revealed that the SSP was guilty of the charges.
According to media reports, the SSP had received bribe money in Dubai. The money was transferred to Karachi, converted into dollars and then sent to the US where Khan’s family resides, the reports said.
Khan had arrested a wanted member of a banned outfit and had transferred him to an unknown place. The reports added that multiple bribery-related cases have been filed against Khan.

  1. He thought that the terrorist would be released by the court in any case, so its better to make money and be safe also.

  2. And why was merely transferred (and that too to hyderabad and not karachi) and not suspended? Although, the 'inquiry report' could have been manufactured because the political party controlling the fortuneof the port city wanted a piable officer,one that was more sympathetic to their needs?
