Robber killed in fire exchange, girl died, three injured in bomb blast

A robber was killed while his four accomplices managed to escape in exchange of fire with police here on Thursday.
According to details, the mobile police of Akorra Khattak police station came across with five robbers busy in looting vehicles and pedestrians in Mera Mughal area of Nowshera.
The police cordoned off them and attempted to arrest the robbers but they showed resistance and started firing at police. In retaliatory fire one robber was killed while his four cohorts managed to flee from the scene. Arms were recovered from the possession of robber killed in fire exchange.
DPO Hangu, Saeed Ahmed said that unknown miscreants had planted bomb with the boundary wall of a house located in Karmiwal Kaley area which went off with a big bang resultantly roof of the house collapsed. Four family members including house owner Sadiq, his two daughters and a son were injured. The locals and relatives on self help basis pulled out the injured from the rubble and shifted them to hospital for treatment where a young girl succumbed to her wounds.
Police said that the bombing incident could be outcome of personal enmity or an old dispute.
Separate cases have been registered in both incidents and investigations were underway.
