Food is the most essential element of our life. Without having food it is extremely difficult to survive. In Pakistan, with the rising prices in food items, food scarcity is also rising, according to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP). This is an issue on which government really need to pay attention. Due to food scarcity people living below poverty line are suffering a lot of trouble. They are unable to serve their family with the basic necessity of food. As prices of food items are rising people are facing problems in buying it. Rain in past few months had devastated a large amount of crop, cause of which 100 percent of prices has been increased. Government must pay attention to this matter as this is affecting many homes. This is an alarming shock that government hasn’t taken any rapid step to control these high prices; they are too much busy in their political issues thus this issue has been neglected by them. There should be a constant check on all these rising prices. If this situation won’t change then it will be very difficult for the majority of population to satisfy the apatite of their family.

Prices are high because production is low, production is low because there is shortage of water for irrigation, shortage of water is because we have only two dams, two dams may have been sufficient for a population of 8 crores when Tarbela dam was commissioned but they are definitely not sufficient for a population of 18 crores
goverment need to pay attention to this issue. many lifes are suffering due to this matter. all the prices are so high that it is really difficult to find life in such conditionss.all these issues in our country are raisig many other problems. depression is everywhere. goverment must need to find a end to all these problems.
The shortages of power and water which have piled up over many years cannot be overcome without a mega dam at the earliest, otherwise our sufferings will continue
