Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a hospital van in Dera Ismail Khan, killing the driver and injuring a lady doctor, said officials on Thursday. According to local police, the van was headed towards Mufti Mahmood Hospital when it came under attack by motorcyclists. Doctor Sadia was injured while the van driver, Asif Tanvir, died of his wounds at a local hospital. The injured doctor was in a critical condition according to medical officials. The police, taking notice of the shooting, launched a probe.
