Balochistan doctors go on strike against colleague’s abduction


Doctors in government hospitals across Balochistan went on a strike on Thursday on a call by eth Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) against the abduction of renowned eye specialist Doctor Saeed Ahmed in Quetta. The PMA had announced holding a protest demonstration and a three-day closure of the OPDs and operation theatres against the abduction of the doctor.
The doctors took out rallies and chanted slogans against the government, demanding immediate recovery of the kidnapped doctor. The RBTL employees also held protest demonstration against the kidnappings. They demanded immediate recovery of the doctor, saying patients coming from across Balochistan were facing severe difficulties. Dr Ahmed, head of Layton Rehmatullah Benevolence Trust (LRBT) eye hospital, was kidnapped on Tuesday.
