At least eight persons including women and children were killed and over 20 others injured in a road accident in Moro area here on Tuesday.
According to police sources, a Karachi-bound passenger bus coming from Sukkur overturned due to opening of tie-rod. As a result of accident, eight people, including three women and children, were killed on the spot while over 20 passengers sustained injuries.
The local people rushed to the scene and started rescue operation which was later joined by police and rescue personnel. The bodies and injured were shifted to Moro and Shahpur Jhanian hospitals.
