The Meteorological Department on Monday said that the Zil Haj crescent was expected to be sighted on Oct 17 and Eidul Azha would be celebrated on Oct 27. According to the Met office, the moon is expected to be sighted as weather would be clear on Oct 17 in most parts of the country. Muslims sacrifice animals on Eidul Azha, which is celebrated on 10th of the last month of Islamic calendar.
