A spokesman of Satellite Research and Development Centre on Friday said that a family fair in connection with World Space Week being celebrated currently will be held here in the city at a local park.
He announced that this two day week-end fair would be held with the participation of students and their families. A special feature of the fair would be a water rocket competition for which students have been provided training, he said.
The fair would also feature an arts show, songs competition and several other activities to involve students in connection with the space week celebrations under the auspices of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).
Meanwhile, a quiz competition was held at Satellite Research and Development Centre. As many as 13 teams from various schools participated in the event.
During a prize distribution ceremony being held on October 10, the top three teams would be given prototype telescopes along with complete usage information to traverse the domain of sky gazing and space inquisition.
