Equipping the people with education is the first step towards prosperity. Education is the main block of the overall societal structure as without it prosperity never gains momentum. Pakistan has paid very little attention towards the female education and neglected this sector. Only two percent of the budget is allocated for education. The developed world has minimized the concept of gender inequality in education. These healthy changes have laid very positive results in their societies as women are also playing an active role in the development of those countries.
Without providing quality education to our females we cannot achieve our goals. Gender inequality in any country has always transferred unwelcome effects to the next generations. When the disparity in education increases, the society suffers from different ends. Pakistan is blessed with a large number of workforce and it can be better utilized after giving them quality education. Mostly the traditional norms and values become a major hurdle in a female education. With the increase in the rural urban migration, the urban population is providing better chances to females to get education. However, the rural women in Pakistan are not able to equip themselves with education. Many female schools were destroyed during the insurgency in Swat and adjacent areas. In Pakistan one out of two girls are still illiterate. Recent facts given by “Educational Task Force of Pakistan” in 2011 reflect that one in three rural women have never attended the school. It is very important to lay emphasis on female education, as educating females delivers a towering return.
