Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khursheed Shah on Saturday termed Akhtar Mengal’s statement as inappropriate and said he should abstain from making such comments.
Talking to media persons after the inaugural ceremony of PCR laboratory in Sukkur, he said provinces were given autonomy after making the 18th amendment in the constitution. He said the caretaker government would be set up in March next year.
Talking to media in Sukkur‚ he said local government elections cannot be held as general elections are getting closer.
Declaring Nawaz Sharif a king, Syed Khursheed Shah asked Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif to suggest solution of Balochistan issue.
He said the Nawaz could not get support through his controversial statements. The minister also said that caretaker government would be formed in March.
He said anyone could sit on opposition benches if he wanted. Convincing and heartbreaking is a part of politics, he added.
