Fuel supply for the vehicles and motorcycles of all the police stations and pickets of Rawalpindi has been suspended, creating problems for the police officials. According to police sources, the fuel provided by the department to policemen has been stopped since one month. As a result the cops have to buy petrol or alternatively let the vehicles remain parked in police stations. The sources said that fuel was being provided to DSPs and upper grade officials, while petrol supply of the vehicles and motorcycles of 28 police stations and 28 police pickets had been suspended for the past one month. This situation has lessened police patrolling in the district, putting the security of citizens under threat.
