Doubtlessly, there are several national NGOs and INGOs registered with the ministry of law, justice and parliamentary affairs and also with other relevant ministries but one can’t see even a single so-called national NGO based in the federal capital, Islamabad, and other big cities, which usually attract huge funds from the international donors, to help the victims of recent deadly monsoon rains triggered widespread floods in Sindh and Balochistan.
It is also on record that Sindh and Balochistan provinces have seen an exceptionally high rainfall year. It is estimated that 5.5 million people have been left homeless in Sindh province alone.
It is noticed that the victims and intelligentsia usually take to the streets of the big cities which are not massively affected to denounce relevant federal and provincial government organizations for failing to act faster and are dispersed with tear gas and baton charging.
