The Supreme Court on Tuesday extended the bail of MNA Ali Musa Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, and former federal minister for health Makhdoom Shahbuddin until October 11 in the ephedrine quota case.
A three-judge bench of the apex court, led by Justice Nasirul Mulk was hearing the case.
During the hearing, the court declared that the request regarding the decision taken by the Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench and the contempt of court case against the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) would be heard together.
Later, speaking to media representatives outside the Supreme Court, Ali Musa Gilani said that he trusted and respected the decision of court hence returned back home on the court’s order.
Earlier on Sept 14 a three-judge bench of the apex court, led by Justice Nasirul Mulk, had granted bail to Musa Gilani until Sept 25 and ordered him to submit two personal bonds of Rs500,000 each.
Musa’s name, along with the names of Makhdoom Shahab and Khushnood Lashari, was included in the challan’s accused column, submitted in the court by the ANF. NNI
