At least eight suspected persons were arrested and arms and ammunition recovered from their custody during search operation conducted by frontiers corps (FC) here on Tuesday.
According to FC sources, the security forces conducted search operation in Kuli Mubarik, Aspani road and surrounding areas and arrested eight suspects. Arms and ammunition including 9 pistols, a 12 boar repeater were also recovered from their possession.
The FC sources said that 11 packets hashish and an unregistered vehicle were also recovered from possession of the arrested people.
The FC sources further said that police party did not take part in search operation.
Local people said that the residents of the areas were confined in their houses during search operation because heavy contingents of security forces were deployed in the areas.
