Pollution created by the burning of tyres by the enraged protesters agitating against the profane movie, especially on the “Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool” (P.B.U.H) is troubling the people who have respiratory problems. On the day of the nationwide protests, the residents of Rawalpindi passionately took part in the protest rallies. The majority of the protestors vented their anger by burning tyres on the main city roads. The smoke emitting from the burning tyres had polluted the city air to such an extent that the problems would persist for a couple of days more and would create problems for people with asthma and other respiratory problems.
